Plucked by Alex Q takes Japanese tattooing imagery and gives it a strange, irreverent twist. An eagle and an oni are pushed together into a dense, highly illustrated composition that feels rooted in traditional tattoo imagery without simply reproducing it. Heavy black outlines, graphic shading, and saturated coral, pink, orange, and blue give the piece the bold, illustrative quality of modern tattoo flash. The detailed featherwork, exaggerated faces, claws, horns, and organic forms create a lot of visual movement, while the overlapping elements keep the composition feeling intentionally packed.
